With the increasing frequency and sophistication of cyberattacks, it has become imperative for the public sector to strengthen its network security infrastructure. Traditional security measures are no longer sufficient for detecting and responding to advanced threats. EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) and NDR ( Network Detection and Response) architectures offer proactive threat detection, real-time visibility, and rapid incident response capabilities, enabling organizations to effectively detect, investigate, and mitigate potential cyber threats. Under G3 (IT Security Guidelines) and S17 (Baseline IT Security Policy) recommendations from OGCIO, departments and bureaus have started evaluating and budgeting for the deployment of this initiative in FY25.
